Funerals

I have been privileged to have been involved in many funerals for full time service personnel, those who are retired or veterans and for those from many churches where last post was deemed fitting.

During my service career, I was also honoured to be involved with the commemoration of the death of the Late Princess of Wales and the funerals of serving personnel killed within peacetime.

I am honoured to have been chosen to play at the Menin Gate, Ypres during this years Remembrance Ceremony on 11th November. Here I will be alongside colleagues from the Belgian Navy and Devon and Dorset Fire Brigade and will sound Reveille to their Last Post. Also featured will be a fellow trumpet player who is also available for ceremonies.

With the appropriate dignity, respect and knowledge of etiquette I am available as a bugler to sound Last Post and Reveille at any funeral.

I am happy to work either at the church service or at the graveside and will take instruction either from the family or undertaker in this matter.

Fully versed in the procedures involved in last post and reveille, I ensure that my presence, whilst effective and emotive is unobtrusive and professional.
